    Looking back on Channel U

    Was listening to Imperial Squad’s memorable classic, Just a Link, and it brought me back to the Channel U days, where anyone can be famous.

    It is a music channel, focusing on playing upcoming UK urban/grime/hip-hop music and has helped the breakthrough for acts such as Tinchy Stryder, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Chipmunk, and N-Dubz.

    From up close, this sea of wallpapered mosaic tiles may not look like much but if you were to step back and see it through your smartphone, the blurred pixels reveal an erotic scene inspired by Japanese Shunga drawing. With each scene depicting a different sexual position and erotic imagery, the German artists installation entitled “1661-1910 from Nagasaki, Meiji, Setti” caught many peoples attention at Art Basel Miami this year.

    the self proclaimed #1 asshole of graffiti LUSH is at it again with his new series, of CCTV subversions with tiny installations on security cameras. These sculptures ranging from dead cops, bodily functions and featuring quite a lot of his standard nakedness and paint splatters are hilarious, dark and completely captivating. It is unknown if the works are intended as a statement against law enforcement and the prevention against graffiti, regardless of the idea though, it’s pretty rad.
